SUMMARY:Almost Heaven Star Party
DESCRIPTION:The Almost Heaven Star Party\, organized by the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club\, begins on Friday\, September 3\, 2021 and ends the morning of Tuesday\, September 7th. The star party takes advantage of the location of the Spruce Knob Mountain Center which features some of the darkest skies on the east coast. Almost 300 star gazers and amateur astronomers gather on our campus to spend four nights exploring the night sky.\nOver the course of the weekend there will be exploration and adventure events during the day — hiking\, caving\, canoeing and excursion train adventures.
