DESCRIPTION:Valley Head Fire Department\n8 a.m. – 11 a.m.\nPancake Breakfast \n8 a.m. til 3 p.m.\nFront room of the Fire Department\nCraft vendors-Silent Auction** \nAmong the amazing silent auction items will be quilts\, a golf package for 4\, a 3 night stay at Snowshoe’s Allegheny Springs\, a 2 night stay with half day guided flyfishing trip at Elk Springs resort\, a 2 night stay at Elkwater Fork Cabin\, jewelry\, and various gift cards. You must be present to win.\n**Silent auction winners will be announced during the band’s first intermission \n9 a.m. til 2 p.m.\nNewt Wood’s porch\nMingo District Historical Society\nAuthors Steve Bodkins and Don Teter will have historical books of the area on sale. Syl Fretwell\, society president will have the Indian Statue book and historical bookmarks for sale. \n11 a.m.\nNear Post Office\nCalvary Assembly of God\nServing hot dogs\, fixins and water \nParade\n12:30-lineup begins.\n1 p.m. Parade begins-over 25 units have indicated they will march.\nThe Valley Head community homecoming committee has appointed 2 honorary parade queens.\nAbigail Cabaniss and Haleigh Wilfong. These young ladies\, from the Valley Head Community\, are sharing the top spot as covaledictorians at Tygarts Valley High School this year! \nAfter the parade @ 2 p.m.\nOn the stage – which will be set up on the beginning of Marple Road next to the Post Office\nBluegrass Music From The Hills of West Virginia. 5-time WV State Banjo Champion Jim Gabehart & guitar player/lead vocalist Valerie Gabehart will perform. They have played from Canada to Florida\, playing a variety of music — incorporating instrumentals\, acapella gospel\, ballads\, driving bluegrass\, and original songs written by Jim.\nThere will be three 40 minute sets totaling 3 hours\n4 pm – Syl Fretwell will do an historical presentation of French Harding’s Civil War Adventures in the Tygart Valley at the Valley Head Community Center\n**After the concert\nValley Head Community Center\nPork BBQ Dinner \n6 p.m.\nValley Head United Methodist Church\nGospel Sing \nSunday\, May 29\n2 p.m.\nValley Head United Methodist Church\nMemorial Service \nMonday\, May 30th-12 noon\nMemorial Day Program-led by Ellen Doyle\nSoldier statue on Mingo Flats Road
