SUMMARY:Monthly Square Dance @ Helvetia
DESCRIPTION:Monthly dances return to Helvetia on June 4th from 7-10pm in the Star Band Hall. These monthly dances will take place on the 1st Saturday of every month. $5 per adult. \nDances include waltzes\, polkas\, schottisches\, and square dances. No experience or partner required. \nThe dances called in Helvetia are a truly unique tradition. Compared to other square dances\, dances in Helvetia are unique as they do not use a designated caller and dances are called by dancers from the floor. These “square dances” are actually circle dances and include common figures such as promenade\, do-si-do\, Grand Right and Left\, and less common figures like the butterfly whirl.
