SUMMARY:Monongahela Forest Capitol Christmas Tree Social Ride
DESCRIPTION:Come join us in Elkins for a social gravel ride starting from Joey’s Bike Shop on Saturday\, Nov. 4 at 1pm. We’ll have two different ride options to match your pace / fitness level.\nThe 2023 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree was selected from the Monongahela National Forest and will be starting a tour through West Virginia on November 4 in Elkins before it arrives on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol grounds.\n\nWe’ll meet around 12:30pm in front of Joey’s Bike Shop and depart around 1pm. We’ll have two ride options. The first taking the rail trail from Elkins toward Parsons and will be a casual 10-12mph pace. The 2nd ride option will be on paved and gravel roads and a little more spirited\, but not hammer time.\n\nWe’ll plan to be back by 4pm so you have time to grab a bite to eat before the tree festivities kick-off at 6pm.
