DESCRIPTION:Randolph County Historical Society invites you to join us in celebrating the centennial of our first banquet\, held in January 1925 at the Tygart Hotel. In commemoration of 100 years of preserving Randolph County history\, the program will explore the history of the Tygart Hotel and Elkins in the Roaring Twenties. The event will start at 6 pm\, with dinner served at 6:30\, followed by the program.\nThe 20s inspired dinner by the Oxley House at the Tygart will feature a choice of New York Strip or Airline Chicken\, House Salad & Rolls\, Roasted Asparagus\, Herb Crusted Potatoes. Pecan Cinnamon Rolls & Cheesecake for Dessert. Tax and tip included\, adult beverages extra.\nAdvance purchase of tickets at $75 per person is required by January 22. SUMMARY:Game Over\, A Night of Student One-Act Plays @ Davis and Elkins College
DESCRIPTION:Davis & Elkins College’s Theatre and Film program is excited to present Game Over\, A Night of Student One-Act Plays this Thursday\, Friday\, and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm.  This is our most student driven show in years\, featuring student playwrights\, directors\, designers\, technicians\, actors\, and house management.  The show will take place on stage at the Harper McNeeley\, so while admission is free for the showcase\, we strongly recommend reservations: https://linktr.ee/dnetheatre.\n\nFrom genies to demons and farce to theatre of cruelty\, this night has a little something for everyone over the age of 13.  Be sure to bring your phones so that you can participate in Star Eakle’s chose-your-own-adventure production Alder Grove\, reminiscent of survivalist video games. \nContent Advisory: We suggest a PG13 rating due to language\, violence\, and adult content. The show will also feature occasional flashing lights and loud noises.
