Vintage diesel-powered locomotives climb along the cascading Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat. Enjoy the view relaxing aboard our comfortable climate controlled passenger coaches. \nThis vintage diesel-powered passenger train has gained a reputation as one of the most relaxing mountain wilderness excursions in our Mountain Rail Adventure portfolio. The 4-hour\, 46 mile round trip departs at 11 a.m. from the restored Elkins Depot on Railroad Avenue. \nOn the trip to the Falls\, enjoy a cold cut lunch\, which is included in the ticket price. The trip culminates at the High Falls of Cheat\, an 18′ high\, 150′ wide waterfall located in one of the most remote and pristine settings in the region. DESCRIPTION:The Davis & Elkins Theater and Film Program is excited to present a magical performance of Peter and the Starcatcher\, directed by Aubrey Helene Neumann.\n\nPerformances will be held April 10th-12th @ 7:30 pm and April 13th @ 2:30 pm in the Harper McNeely Auditorium at the Myles Center for the Arts\, on the campus of Davis and Elkins College.\n\nTony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels\, the play was conceived for the stage by directors\, Roger Rees and Alex Timbers\, and written by Rick Elice\, with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes\, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair… and the bonds of friendship\, duty and love.
