DESCRIPTION:Appalachian Forest Hiking Challenge Trail Talks \nJoin AFNHA this summer for guided hikes\, educational presentations\, and complimentary responsibly sourced lunches from \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll hikes are suitable for beginners and will be around one hour long. Accompanying presentations may discuss Leave No Trace practices\, community trails\, plants and animals\, history and heritage\, and more! Completion of five of these trails qualify hikers for an embroidered AFNHA Hiking Challenge patch. \nAnyone may attend\, but only attendees who register at least three days in advance will qualify for free lunch. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuided Hike Trails and Dates (all hikes begin at 1:00pm)\nRain Dates will be the following Sunday\nPlease dress for weather. Comfortable hard-soled shoes are recommended.\nLunch will be provided at the end of the hike.\nBathrooms may not be available at some locations.  \nJuly 26: Rich Mountain Battlefield | Meet at Field of Fire at 1 pm\, or Beverly Heritage Center at 12:30 to convoy out. (30 minute drive from Elkins to Field of Fire) \nAugust 23: Glendale Park | Meet at Glendale Park Pavilion \nSeptember 20: Stuart Recreation Area River Loop Trail | Meet at Stuart Recreation Area Parking Area \nOctober 18: TBD
