DESCRIPTION:Elkins Raceway will have one more big program to close out the 2025 season\, Saturday August 30 management will finish off the latest edition of ‘Thunder in the Mountains’ in the finest style possible.\nThe Budweiser Late Models will run ‘topless’ for a $3\,000 first prize; all other classes will compete for increased purses\, including the TKS Contracting/High Point Construction Ultimate Pro Late Models\, Jenkins Ford UMP Modifieds\, Collins Service Center Street Stocks\, Blue Ridge Construction EDGE Hot Mods\, Next Level Heating & Cooling Junior Mini-Wedges\, \,and Hyre’s Well & Pump Service Senior Mini-Wedges will all be in action as the season comes to an end. An added attraction will be another of the track’s famous fireworks displays.\nThe track’s Kids Club will be active as usual\, thanks to sponsors Mountain Valley Bank\, Hitt’s Body Shop\, Citizens Bank of West Virginia\, Currence Racing\, and Nelson’s Custom Race Shocks.\nArm bands from the August 24 rainout will be honored at face value. General Admission will be $15/ Pit admission is set at $35.\nRaceway management wishes to thank all race teams\, sponsors\, fans\, and employees for supporting the track’s activities during its 73rd season. Any further updates on the season-ending program will posted on the track’s Facebook page.
