SUMMARY:JAKES Day
DESCRIPTION:The Tygart Valley chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will be hosting their free event\, JAKES Day\, on Saturday at the Mountaineer Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) Clubhouse. \nJAKES\, which is an acronym for “Juniors Acquiring Knowledge\, Ethics & Sportsmanship\,” will be open to kids ages 8 to 17. The event will feature several learning stations\, such as fishing\, trap shooting\, air rifle shooting and more. There will also be door prizes at the end of the event. Lunch will be provided by members of the IWLA. \nThe event will be from 9 a.m. to around 2 p.m. on Saturday. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and children must be registered by 9 a.m. to be eligible for the door prizes. \nAny children in attendance under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the event \nThe NWTF is asking participants to please dress appropriately for weather conditions. \nFor more information\, contact the IWLA clubhouse at 304-636-4140. \n
