Pegasus Farm Campground caters to RV travelers looking for the two most important options that can’t be found at most campgrounds – peace and quiet!
Carved into a 30-acre gentleman farm in the center on the Tygart Valley just three miles from downtown Elkins, this camping facility is close enough, yet far away. Wal-Mart, convenience stores and an RV supply center are within three miles. A laundromat is just a mile down the road. The Elkins Town Square and Railroad Depot is just 3.5 miles from your campsite. Yet, there are no traffic sounds, and you can see all the stars at night!
Pegasus Farm Campground consists of 13 full hookups with 30 and 50 amp/water/sewage and three partial sites with water and electric Sites are large – 100 feet deep x 60 feet wide – and flat. Pegasus Farm Campground is pet friendly, and pet cleanup always required. WiFi is also provided on the premises. Some tent sites are available on the RV side and include amenities in the Hospitality Barn. (See their website for details.)
A rustic tent area offers shaded sites near the gentle Chenoweth Creek. A fishing pond sports bass and sunfish, and a meadow-grass maze in the shape of a giant sunflower awaits visitors who love early evening walks. August and September is a magical time when all the wildflowers are in bloom. Reviews tout the beauty of the mountains that encircle the grounds, and a large bathhouse kept immaculately clean at all times. Enjoy Bonnie’s perennial gardens and Mark’s summertime Indian garden.
