DESCRIPTION:The goal with this event is to let our community know that we are your friends and neighbors – we contribute in numerous ways to the betterment of Elkins and West Virginia as a whole. We want to bring awareness to our experiences in a way that is engaging. Each “book” will be available for one-on-one conversations regarding their experience as part of the queer community. A “librarian” will be present to help facilitate discussion and ensure the conversations remain respectful and truly honor the individual willing to be a “book.” We encourage you to come and learn what you have in common with these people – to engage in human connection by hearing their stories.
