Swiss Roots is designed to serve both residents and visitors of Helvetia, West Virginia. This small country store stocks food, beverages, household items, as well as t-shirts, memorabilia, postcards, and locally made products such as maple syrup, honey, and soap. Book your stay in one of the four newly renovated rooms. These were once used as a boarding house in the upstairs of the building. You will be greeted with a sweeping view of the Helvetia Village District.
Located inside the store, the Helvetia Post Office has served the community for 139 years. It has full business hours on weekdays and services include counter service and post office boxes. The rural delivery drivers operate out of the facility.
The Fasnacht Mask Museum is also located here. The museum is a result of a longstanding interest in preserving the artifacts and history of the well-known Fasnacht celebration.
