Beekeeper Inn
1 Old Helvetia Road, Helvetia, WV 26224
The Beekeeper Inn was built by a beekeeper named Wurzer from Appenzell Canton, Switzerland. Bees were kept in a lean-to shed on the back hence the name. In 1983, Mr. Wurzer’s house became an Inn. The house was originally located where the Star Band Hall now stands and was moved across the river on logs.
The Beekeeper Inn has 3 bedrooms with private baths, a large living room, and a kitchen. There is a beautiful upstairs deck. It is the “Bed” part of the “Bed & Breakfast,” – breakfast is served at the Hutte Restaurant.
