The Big Poplar, part of Cheat River Lodge and Cabins, is our most private accommodation, and shares 5.5 acres of riverfront property with our Swinging Vine cabin. A furnished, wrap around deck with private hot tub provides a terrific private place to enjoy the view. Experience the appeal of an authentic log cabin with the warm color of the log walls, cathedral ceiling and cozy, glass fronted wood burning stove nestled in a natural stone hearth.

Personalized linens, and attractive décor make this the perfect escape. Each of the two bedrooms on the main floor, and the third area in the loft are furnished with queen beds. Note that the staircase to the loft area is very steep, and unsuitable for young children and elderly persons. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the essentials, to include dinnerware that matches the décor.

Modern conveniences include: electric heat, air conditioning, and cable TV. Additional fans, a charcoal barbecue grill, picnic table, and firewood for the wood stove are also provided. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by a warm hot tub and fresh linens on the bed. Pack your bags!
