Swiss Roots is designed to serve both residents and visitors of Helvetia, West Virginia. Book your stay in one of the four newly renovated rooms. These were once used as a boarding house in the upstairs of the building. In addition to their private guest rooms, visitors are welcome to enjoy all of the inn accommodations including the living room, dining room, kitchen, and upstairs kitchenette. You will be greeted with a sweeping view of the Helvetia Village District.
The Hinter Zimmer “Back Room” of Swiss Roots can now be rented as an event space. It is a beautiful, cozy space with the room capacity of 25 people. Catering is available. For more information on renting and catering options, please call 304-613-7574 or 304-613-7585.
Located inside the store, the Helvetia Post Office has served the community for 139 years. It has full business hours on weekdays and services include counter service and post office boxes. The rural delivery drivers operate out of the facility.
The Fasnacht Mask Museum is also located here. The museum is a result of a longstanding interest in preserving the artifacts and history of the well-known Fasnacht celebration.
