Join the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy for a one-of-a-kind river adventure on Saturday, August 16, from 2–4 p.m. at Stuart Recreation Area in the Monongahela National Forest.This isn’t your average hike — we’ll slip beneath the surface of one of the East’s highest streams to discover trout, crayfish, rock gardens, and the secret life of the Cheat River. August water is just warm enough to linger, and we’ll provide everything you need: masks, snorkels, and wetsuits (if needed). Just bring your sense of adventure (and a swimsuit). Spots are first come, first served — so don’t wait!
