Valley Head Homecoming

For more than 40 years, the unincorporated community of Valley Head has held their annual homecoming on Memorial Day weekend. This festival features a variety of entertainment and serves as a reunion for the community. The Homecoming centers around a Parade on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Other festivities throughout the weekend often include live music, a pancake feed at the Volunteer Fire Department and a chicken burn, a silent auction, a gospel sing at the Methodist Church, memorial services, and historical presentations hosted by the Mingo District Historical Society.
