“Appalachian Craftsmanship” Exhibit Opening | Beverly Heritage Center
Join us as we celebrate the storied history of heritage arts in Randolph County – from the past to the present! Our new exhibit, “Appalachian Craftsmanship”, explores the evolving story of Appalachian craftsmanship across centuries of change by diving into the region’s relationship with hand, material, and place. Featuring ceramics, lutherie, textiles, and smithing. Local artists include Bob Smakula, Nevada Tribble, Joseph Mullenax, Jennifer and Kevin Boyle, and more! Guest curator: Katie Angeles. Light refreshments and artist talks will take place at the Beverly Heritage Center’s opening reception on Saturday, August 29th from 3-5 PM. Live music by Fair Play to follow at 5:30 PM on the lawn.
