Augusta Week 2 @ Elkins
July 17, 2022
Come find out why the International Bluegrass Music Association named Augusta “Event of the Year” in 2019. This week, you can choose from a daytime schedule focusing on bluegrass music (every instrument, vocals and songwriting) or on vocal music in a diverse range of styles—from solo and duet-singing to choral soundscapes. No matter your daytime path, you can enjoy everything the week has to offer in the evenings, including concerts, dances, jams and more. With bluegrass coordinators Ira Gitlin, Mary Burdette, and Neel Brown and Vocal coordinator Flawn Williams at the helm, this is sure to be an unforgettable week of music.
Folk Arts for Kids will give participants (ages 5 to 11) a chance to explore craft, nature, music and dance in a fun and immersive environment.
Do you want to get just a taste of Augusta after work? Sign up for an evening mini-class to get 4 nights of instruction with a world-class instructor. If you get the event pass, too, you can join us for all of the week’s dances and concerts in the evening as well. You can sleep next week…
