Augusta Week 3 @ Elkins

The music and dance in Week 3 will be coordinated by longtime friends of Augusta Phil Wiggins, Joan Fenton and Joebass Dejarnette. Participants can plan their schedule to include any combination of blues and old-time classes so that they can explore the common influences of two genres that shaped the very definition of American music. Study one style exclusively, or examine how your instrument gets approached by a master of either of these musical forms. The evenings will be full of jams, concerts, dances and more.

Folk Arts for Kids will give participants (ages 5 to 11) a chance to explore craft, nature, music and dance in a fun and immersive environment.

Teen Augusta (this week only!) is perfect for older kids (12-17) who want a taste of everything Augusta has to offer. The daytime schedule will feature music, craft, cooking, hiking and more.
