Free Beginners Lap Dulcimer Workshop

Come celebrate the Forest Festival by learning a new instrument! From 10am to 12pm on October 6th, the Appalachian Forest Discovery Center will host a FREE drop-in lesson on the lap dulcimer in the second floor event space at Darden Mill, open to beginners of all ages! Visitors are welcome to walk in throughout the lesson as they explore all that the Darden Mill has to offer during the festival.
If you want a sneak peek, the AFDC’s exhibit, Material Culture: Wood and Weaving, has a lap dulcimer ready to play at all times the museum is open!
