Monarch Habitat Restoration & Community Planting @ Glendale Park

June 29, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Help Partners for Fish & Wildlife and AmeriCorps restore monarch habitat in Glendale Park this Saturday, June 29th from 10-2PM. Meet at the Glendale Park pavilion at 10AM. We have 224 milkweed plants that need to be put in the ground!

Wear close-toed shoes you don’t mind getting wet, protective clothing and sunblock! Bring snacks, water and a trowel if you have one. Gloves & Dibble planters will be provided!

Monarch caterpillars rely on milkweed to grow big & strong! Every year monarch butterflies migrate to oyamel fir trees in Mexico by the thousands. Some travel 3000 miles to reach their destination. Help us keep their colony numbers strong!
