Ribbon Cutting & Exhibit Opening | Rich Mountain Battlefield

This October 3rd, escape the city crowds and visit Rich Mountain Battlefield!

At 10:30, we will cut the ribbon for Lander’s Rock Trail. This long-awaited trail leads visitors to the site of one of the battle’s most iconic moments: U.S. Col. Frederick Landers’ exclamation as Union forces surged toward the Hart Farm.

At noon, join us at the Beverly Heritage Center for the opening of “Faces of Civil War Nurses,” a traveling exhibit on loan from the National Museum of Civil War Medicine.
