NROCKS Outdoor Adventures (formerly Nelson Rocks Adventure Center) is the premiere guided climbing center in West Virginia and Pendleton County.
NROCKS is one of only three Via Ferrata’s on the East Coast. This adventure experience consists of a mile of fixed-anchor, professionally-guided rock climbing. Fixed cables, bridges and metal pieces are drilled into the rock. These allow people to ascend and descend the over one thousand feet of rock surface without the need for technical knowledge or climbing gear. The Via-Ferrata is open year-round, weather permitting.
NROCKS also offers zip-lining and wild caving in addition to the via-ferrata.
Directions from Elkins: Take US Route 33E towards Seneca Rocks. NROCKS is just 15 miles south of Seneca Rocks, one of the most popular crags on the East Coast. Turn left onto US 33E at Seneca Rocks. Turn right on WV-28S and NROCKS Welcome Center will be on the left.
