Located in Elkins, WV, SAYLWINDS (formerly Pegasus Farm Campground) is a 28-acre campground bordered by hundreds of acres of farmland, a small county airport, and Chenoweth Creek. The property is intersected by abandoned railroad tracks with an old trestle bridge crossing the creek.

We have a small fishing pond (lovingly referred to as “the puddle”), mountain views in the distance, and plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing. SAYLWINDS is within 3 miles of town amenities yet provides the feeling of being far away (no traffic sounds and you can see the stars)! It is the perfect location for travelers who are looking for a peaceful and spacious camping experience. Saylwinds offers 13 full hookup sites (30/50 amp electric, water, sewage) and 3 partial hookup sites (30/50 amp electric & water) within close proximity to the bathhouse. There are multiple private primitive sites dispersed throughout the property for tent, van, and truck campers seeking a more rustic experience.

Under new ownership in 2023, Toby & Liz are excited to share in this new adventure with you. While we operate a “no office, self-check-in” campground, Toby is available for on-site support. You are encouraged to make reservations online in advance of your stay; however, if you find yourself in a last-minute pinch, we welcome you to call and we will do our best to accommodate you!

We welcome exclusive use of SAYLWINDS for weddings, events, RV rallies, festivals, etc. We provide use of the space & facilities; everything else in your hands. Once we go over the basics, we encourage you to schedule a site visit to ensure SAYLWINDS is right for you. We have a local event rental company nearby.
