Scott’s Ford Fishing Pier
Scotts Ford Road, Elkins, WV 26241
Scott’s Ford Fishing Pier is located close to the downtown Elkins area. Situated directly on the backwaters of the Tygart Valley River, Scott’s Ford is the only ADA accessible access point for recreation activities such as boating, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. On spring and summer weekends, the gravel parking lot is frequently full. Some parts of the Tygart River are shallow so boating restrictions are limited to small boats with electric motors only.
There are designated handicap parking spaces and a paved ramp leading to the ADA accessible platform.
