Lars Byrne will present on the development of the Elkins Railyard through the years, with emphasis on the early beginnings and the later years of the mid 20th century.
Lars Byrne is a Senior Dispatcher for the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad. He began his railroad career in 1999 as a volunteer excursion train host and commentator and is a certified engineer and conductor. Additionally, Byrne is an unofficial Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad historian and a public programs speaker.
