Glendale Park
Glendale Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241
The largest and newest of all the city parks, Glendale Park currently boasts a gravel walking/jogging nature trail, skateboard park and playing fields created for youth football and soccer. State of the art playground equipment has been installed. Glendale is comprised of 36 acres, and it is open for all seasons. In the wintertime, cross country skiing is a fun activity to do at the park. During the summer, flying kites, playing frisbee, or just having a picnic are fun activities to enjoy at Glendale.
A footbridge over the Tygart River connects to Glendale Park to Riverbend Park. Glendale also serves as the site for the EPRC office. The serenity of the park makes it a unique area for people to come and enjoy open space in the middle of town. It is not uncommon to see a variety of wildlife.
