The Mountain Madness, part of the Ride the High 5 motorcycle trip, is not for the faint of heart. This route leaves from Elkins and returns.

From Elkins take US 33E to Harman and continue to Seneca Rocks. If your legs desire, get off your bike and hike up the 3 mile trail to the lookout over Seneca Rocks. This view definitely won’t disappoint if you are able to make the steep trek up the mountain.

If you so dare, experience the 3-mile stretch of 30 turns through Aurora on US 50. While riding along you will come through St. George and Parsons. From Parsons, you can experience the mountains either way you choose to go.

If you get on US 219S towards Elkins, it is about a 30-40 minute drive back. If you choose to go towards Canaan Valley on US219N this route, about an hour or more ride, will take you through the towns of Thomas and Davis and you can experience the beautiful Canaan Valley towards Harman. From Harman take US33W back towards Elkins.
