From brews and bourbon to wine and ‘shine – Randolph County has locally crafted libations of every kind to quench your thirst!

Beer

Big Timber Brewing features nationally recognized favorites and an ever-changing rotation of seasonal specialties, all inspired by West Virginia’s logging history. They even make hard seltzers and a delicious non-alcoholic root beer! Find them for sale across the state or stop by the taproom for live music, food trucks, and other happenings.

Want to grab a bite with your beer? Fox Hops Brewing has classic microbrews and a kitchen offering their unique spin on traditional bar food like “totchos” and a PB&J burger! You can enjoy a freshly made cocktail or a local beer from many of our restaurants like The Forks, Jimbo’s Place, Oxley House, Beander’s, El Gran Sabor, and others.

Wine

Heavenly Heritage Winery in Pickens brings the area’s long Swiss and German traditions of homemade winemaking to the forefront of the storefront. Enjoy a sampling or buy a bottle of their wines for all tastes, both sweet and dry. See beautiful scenery at the nearby Kumbrabow State Forest, or come back for the Pickens Maple Syrup Festival held every March.

Lukestone Legacy offers curated pairings and events for the curious. Relax at a game night, themed tasting, or enjoy a monthly “Book & Bottle” subscription.

Find a selection of wines, and even mead, made in West Virginia at the Delmonte Market. Plus a wide variety of local literature, regional products, jewelry, flowers, and other gifts. Or take a tour of Honey River Meadery to try some samples!

Liquor

The old Appalachian tradition of distilling is well represented in Randolph County. Boars Nest Distillery in Harman offers a variety of straight, flavored, and infused moonshines. Still Hollow in Job has everything from straight corn liquor to bourbon, rye whiskey, gin, and other special batches made with fresh locally sourced ingredients like maple syrup or herbs gathered right in the holler. Both are the perfect stop before your hiking, camping, or fishing trip with the Allegheny Trail, Spruce Knob Lake, and Monongahela National Forest nearby.
