Hand-quilting Demo | Appalachian Forest Discovery Center
Appalachian Forest Discovery Center 2 Railroad Avenue, Elkins, WV, United StatesCome join us for a demonstration and hands-on learning opportunity on hand piecing and quilting by Katherine Gray and Jamie Billman. These skills came to America with our fore-mothers and have been passed down for generations. Now, as we celebrate America 250, we celebrate these traditional skills and continue to pass them down. The demonstration and hands-on learning will take place with traditional materials, on an 1860s quilt top that is part of our America 250 exhibit. Any age is welcome to join us for the event and we will be providing necessary equipment!
